How to cancel your distroed subscription, when refunds apply, and how refund requests are processed.

Overview

This Refunds & Cancellations Policy applies to all subscription plans and paid services purchased from distroed. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the terms described on this page in addition to our Terms of Service.

Cancellation

How to cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing service@distroed.com with your registered account email and plan name. Cancellation requests are processed within two business days.

When cancellation takes effect

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date. No further charges will be made after the current period ends.

Free plan

If you are on a trial or promotional access period, you may discontinue use at any time by deleting your account from settings or contacting service@distroed.com.

Refund eligibility

Digital subscription services

distroed provides access to cloud-based software on a recurring subscription basis. Because the service is delivered immediately upon payment, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started.

7-day refund window

If you are a first-time paid subscriber, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your initial payment, provided you have not materially used paid features beyond reasonable evaluation (for example, extensive content generation, API usage, or bulk exports).

Billing errors & duplicate charges

If you were charged incorrectly, charged twice, or did not receive the plan you paid for, contact us within 30 days and we will investigate. Verified billing errors are refunded in full.

Service unavailability

If distroed experiences prolonged service unavailability caused by us (more than 72 consecutive hours in a billing period), you may request a prorated credit or refund for the affected period.

Non-refundable items

The following are not eligible for refunds: (a) partial-month usage after the 7-day first-time refund window; (b) renewals where you did not cancel before the renewal date; (c) add-on services explicitly marked as non-refundable at purchase; (d) amounts corresponding to GST or other taxes collected on your behalf.

Refund process

How to request a refund

Email service@distroed.com with the subject line "Refund Request", including your account email, invoice or transaction reference, plan name, payment date, and reason for the request.

Review & processing time

We review refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are initiated to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. Actual credit to your account may take additional time depending on your bank or payment provider.

Refund method

Refunds are processed to the original payment method used at checkout. We cannot refund to a different account or payment instrument unless required by law.

Plan changes

Upgrades

When you upgrade to a higher plan, the price difference may be charged immediately on a prorated basis for the remainder of your billing period.

Downgrades

When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing period. No refund is issued for the difference in the current period.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider before contacting us, we may suspend your account while the dispute is investigated. We encourage you to reach out to us first at service@distroed.com so we can resolve billing issues quickly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of paid services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
